BHP’s Head of Innovation, Grant Caffery to Judge Hot 30 Awards
CORE Innovation Hub welcomes BHP’s Head of Innovation to the 2023 Judging Panel. Grant Caffery will judge the Female Led Innovation Award looking to award visionary female leaders implementing technology and driving innovation to shape the future of energy and mining.
Grant is a seasoned executive who has spent his career pursuing his passion for technology and innovation. He has carved out a successful career at BHP, where he works with C Suite Executives and Senior Leaders to develop and implement the company's technology development strategy.
Grant's expertise lies in his ability to identify and implement innovative technological solutions that deliver natural resources needed for global growth and development. He is well-versed in the latest global, industry, and business-specific trends and capabilities, which he incorporates into his technology development strategies. He has a proven track record of developing and implementing technology development road-maps that take individual technologies from concept to implementation.
Grant has developed technology solutions across the entire mining value chain, from exploration to downstream processing. He has also built an internal technology development capability to deliver the technology strategy for the business. He has experience in developing and commissioning both brownfield and greenfield projects, including leading technical due diligence in multi-billion-dollar acquisition opportunities.
Grant's expertise extends beyond technology development, as he has also executed M&A deals and managed cross-cultural teams, including BHP Billiton's activities within the Philippines. He has an exceptional ability to manage Joint Venture relationships.
